Although I liked the small size and price of the 28ByJ-48 stepper, I have given up on them as they have proven to be very unreliable. I've since replaced all my focusers with the 14HS10-0404S--not the smallest or lightest motor, but they have been trouble-free on my two GSO Crayfords, and the rack and pinion drive on my AT72ED II telescope. They work with about a 0.25amp current setting.
