help nothing happens #wemos #fysetc

Hi guys, help here,


now that the S6 + mottors are working i want to add the wifi-module, i have a wemos d1 mini v3.0.0, and seems like i sucesfully uploaded the code to it (no changes to it at all):



after that i connected the wemos to the S6, tx to rx, rx to tx, gnd to gnd and vcc to 5v as depicted in the image:


but nothing at all happens, no bue light no nothing, did i miss something? i did something wrong?

3 star alignment #EQ5

Dear all,
I'm going crazy with the star alignment...
after the polar alignment made manually (seems quite good), I try to point something from stellarium or APT, the telescope goes in the  correct direction but what I choose is far from what the telescope point...
So I would like to make the 3 star alignment but with the app for iphone (goto mote) I can't because it close itself in the alignment procedure...so I made from the web interface...but after clicking set time/date, and click on 3 star align, I see my telescope that start to tracking...nothing more...no stars to choose, no sleave...
Could someone explain more in deeper all the steps and what I have to do? also in Italian if there is somebosy from italy...

Set backlash to 0 and now RA and DEC stops perfectly as expected. Thank you for the advice about looking into backlash settings.

If the person left the controller running in the same location for three days, making an estimation of a correction after days one, two, and three, using at most one day's data to generate the correction estimate.  Compare the correction estimates, if they vary significantly it indicates that attempts to compensate via a config file would not be that beneficial.

Here is another test of the FYSETC S6 V2.0 without a GPS nor PPS using OnStep 5.1v.

Slewed to Dubhe in Ursa Major, and kept it there for 10 minutes:

And there is no drift in RA at all, beyond the normal jitter, and it is below seeing (0.4") per minute.
Same as the Blue Pill with PPS from the DS3231.

As usual, ignore the first two lines.

You need to know a few things:
- What are the number of teeth on the worm wheel for each axis (RA and DEC)? This goes into GR2.
If this is an EQ3, then it can be many things, e.g. 130 RA, and 65 DEC.
You can see how many turns of the worm gear to move 90 degrees, and calculate.

- The gear ratio of the pulleys (60 / 15 = 4:1), so GR1 = 4

- What is the motor steps per degree? This is 200 for 1.8 degree, and 400 for 0.9 degree.

- The A4988 is limited to 1/16 and cannot exceed that. You can get better drivers, such as the LV8729.

When you have all the info from the above, go to the Online Configuration Generator, and it will create a Config.h file for you.
