I think the normal TMC5160 is $15 I think, so saving $6 for two by making two adapters is a question of time. Let us know how it works out. The new driver (forgot the number) is $20 each.

I am a hardware guy, I dont really do coding (why I ask noob coding questions). That is why I posted the link to the F4 code above (.rar file), there is code for each item, like: 24Cxx ADC DMA IIC KEY

Characterizing NEMA17 stepper motor/driver micro-stepping accuracy
I am very interested in the "smart stepper" results comparison. As I posted in the encoder thread, the price is close to the same (depending on the driver) (smart or not) 1. $14 stepper motor and $15

Good point, there is a dozen stores with under $20 on aliexpres, i think its so new there has not been many sales yet. If this proves to be a good motor/controller Here:

@ Howard, looking at your motor graphs, I am seeing at least 2 times and up to 4 times better positioning for the smart servo. Do you see the same or?

Maybe a couple more smart steppers, but maybe not as they look like 1.8 degree per step. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/249504031/ananasstepper-30-a-servo-stepper-for-multi-axis-control?ref=nav_

Direct drive is interesting, certainly cleans it up a bunch. Could abd a zero backlash coupler for a couple bucks I am not touching my G11 setup, i will be trying the gemini1 servos on my spare ci700
