Thanks--I did finally get my home network settings to 'stick' again. So I won't be trying the hard code mod until it 'unsticks' --pretty much guaranteed to happen, I'm sure.

I'm eager to give this a try. Where in the sketch did you add these lines? I searched for an appropriate place, but got lost as I am not an expert programmer. I presume that wifi.ino is the sketch in

WiFi Latency and Guiding?
So just how is this done in Win 10? I tried this using com0com, as suggested by another user, but couldn't figure out how to get it to work. The steps described to set up virtual ports seemed a bit cr

STM32 Blue Pill and focuser with 28BYJ-48 Stepper
I can attest that cutting the red wire in the designated place turns the unipolar 28BYJ-48 into a bipolar stepper. It does work, as I've tested it with an Arduino UNO and the CNC V3 shield with an LV8

Focuser Issue in BluePill-based controller
So, I've been playing some more with a stepper motor configured for bi-polar (not the 28BYJ-48, but a Vexta CA041-9012328288-01-A from my junk pile) and But that's not my issue. At issue is that pulsi

Are you saying that increasing the value from, say 10 to 50 increases the step rate? Or do I have that backwards? Isn't that delay time set anywhere in the program? Seems like it must be programmed so

STM32 Blue Pill and focuser with 28BYJ-48 Stepper
Thanks for your reply, Rafael. Does this mean I can use a DC motor for focus? I hadn't seen that in the documentation anywhere. In the meantime, I think I solved my problem--turns out I had forgotten

Anyone have any experience with a 28BYJ-48 stepper modified for bidirectional operation? I'm using this with a DRV8825 driver jumpered for half-step operation, but it doesn't seem to work as installed

Insecurities I have before buying an onstep kit.
You may want to double check the size of the shaft on the worm drive of your mount. I recently modified an Orion AstroView mount https://www.telescope.com/Orion/Orion-AstroView-Equatorial-Telescope-Mo
