I have also done bluetooth connection from Raspberry Pi INDI to OnStep to control it. There are good instructions for this here: https://www.instructables.com/The-Micro-Scope-a-Miniture-GOTO-Telescope

I can attest, not only does the bluetooth joystick functionality work, but it is a total gamechanger for visual telescope control. I currently use it with an ESP32 as a separate wifi/bluetooth communi

Keep an eye on Stepper Motor shaft speeds. As a general rule pushing any step motor beyond 1.0kHz full steps gets you into a fairly low point on the torque curve. And at 1.2kHz the P43G would have to

No issues with +5 and GND connected, but, as I suspected, after a minute or so running after connecting the 3.3V line, the current started climbing gradually, then shot up tp over 0.6A. The only thing

If you load up a raspberry pi with INDI server. When you get the OnStep driver running you can choose Serial port (USB connection from ESP32 to Raspberry Pi) or You can join the MiniESP to a wifi netw

Thank you! I have been able to compile the OnStepX and flash the ESP32, but I had to use PlatformIO. The Arduino IDE was just exiting the build before even starting to compile with no error message, e

Cannot connect WIFI SHC
I assume it was the SWS not being the "Main" branch? About 80mhz vs 240mhz. I wanted you to use 240mhz for troubleshooting. One less variable. The 80mhz works for increasing battery life. Nothing wron

Cannot connect WIFI SHC
My main Home router using same AP IP 192.168.0.1. Then Onestep AP is setting another IP automatically. However, the server is automatically connected to the ONSTEP SSID, so it won't be a problem.
