2nd owner Instein + my G11 ===> Anyone have software and config.h file for this setup?
Basically you can either get support from Instein or become a DIY OnStep user. OnStep has "support" for the Instein Mega2560 hardware AFAIK, use it at your own risk, I think it works. Again, OnStep is

The ST4 port pins should have proper pullup resistors installed otherwise strange things similar to what you describe can happen. Canceled slews due to very rapid start/stop guide glitches from spurio

Note you don't need to change the WiFi Addon settings to match. It automatically tries 19200 as part of the connection attempt cycle regardless of settings. It probably will connect faster if you set

Sounds like the simple act of plugging USB in causes WiFi to disconnect. If this is the case, that clearly points to a hardware cause well outside of anything to do with OnStep. If plugging USB in "cr

In your example the mount is still on the east side until that sync causes it to flip to the west as allowed for by the preferred pier side setting.

It's called preferred for a reason. It's not the pier side it's the pier side OnStep will pick if possible. Sounds like it's working perfectly.

Which OnStep branch to use
The beta I just created will become release-4.x, that will likely be the last version the 128k Bluepill will run.

You never know. Note that version 5 compiles to a significantly larger size than version 4.x so this leaves the Bluepill STM32F103C8(CB) behind.

So even at 540:1 with 400 step motors the stepper motor/driver inaccuracies are discernible. Now each driver/motor combo is different but overall the S109 didn't impress in my tests... example of accu

It'd be a nice data-point to know what the overall reduction is, stepper motor specs (especially if 200 or 400 step,) stepper drivers used.
