Problem getting motor to engage with new board
Perhaps the “pinout” on the motor cable is incorrect. The motor will “jitter” if the phases are incorrect. Not wired correctly. Check the wiring from the driver goes to an appropriate coil on the step

Connecting pwr ground to positive
The “B” type cable is a crossover cable. The ends do not have a 1 to 1 correspondence pin wise. The orange and green pairs swap places end to end. In serial terms RX-TX ,TX-RX. Null modem. Not a commo

Dave, Cheers mate! Board manager was out of date. Used 2.0.0 because yours is working and mine is not. Figure I am the one with the "problem". Notice there are newer versions however...it now works! H
